Pebble Conglomerate is co-commissioned by Northwest Sinfonietta and the Library of Congress’s Koussevitzky Foundation and Otto and Catherine Brunson Luening Fund of the Academy of Arts and Letters. The piece is inspired by geology and rock climbing, and is an auditory representation of the formation of pebble conglomerate rock like Bellingham’s Chuckanut Formation.
