Poteat’s newest work, Much Difference, commissioned by the Seattle Symphony Orchestra for their Sonic Evolution series, will be premiered by members of the orchestra (Zartouhi Dombourian-Eby, flute; Laura DeLuca, clarinet; Mikhail Shmidt, violin; David Sabee, cello; Michael Werner, percussion; and Kimberly Russ, piano) during their Spring4Music After Hours program at Le Poisson Rouge in New York on May 5, 2014 at 10pm. The piece is inspired by the music of the Seattle-based group, Pearl Jam, as well as their strong history of activism.
